The development of a small aperture driver unit was an extremely complex undertaking. Being small in size necessitated extreme precision across every aspect. Small aperture driver units are prone to producing dull sound, and tuning is likewise difficult. Two years on from the first prototype we created, we completed 
a driver unit with the kind of wonderful balance hard to believe with a small aperture and sound quality with
a sense of speed to it. The Adagio V driver unit is an exclusive model that has been tuned in conjunction with a stainless steel housing.
A housing form that optimizes airflow inside the housing
Optimizing the airflow in the housing is essential for three-dimensional spatial representation and bass tone reproduction. Aligning the shape of the internal aspect of the housing with the airflow resulted 
in a functionally beautiful design that looks like a jet engine.
Original ear pieces that come in 5 sizes
Two types of ear pieces are included with this product. The new E type employs two types of silicon differing in hardness for the sound conduit section and the section that comes into contact with the user's ear.
Compared to the section that comes into contact with the user's ear, the sound conduit section utilizes a harder silicon with grooves in it, so as to combine strength with flexibility. Can be fitted into the user's ear while maintaining its round shape. For the section that comes into contact with the user's ear, soft silicon has been employed, making for a comfortable fit and a high level of sound insulation.
Joining the E type and the five sizes it comes in – SS/S/M/L/LL – is the A type, which differs in terms of how airtight it is and in terms of bass reproduction (comes in three sizes). Please choose the size and type that is right for you.
An original flexible cable that suppresses touch noise
The ear pieces for the Adagio series are a new design. They have an even higher degree of sound insulation. However, heightening sound insulation properties means that touch noise from the cable becomes more noticeable. The material used for the wires, along with that used for the cable covering, have also been newly designed for the Adagio series. We've created a flexible cable that does not easily transmit touch noise.

How to wear the earphones
Identify the left and right housings using the L and R indicators inside the housings. Holding the product, insert them straight into the ear, searching for a stable position. Once you find such a position, play music so as to check the feel of the bass tones. Should there be insufficient bass, the fit of the audio canal with the ear pieces is not correct. In that case, either check again for a stable position or try another sized ear piece. Should the size of the ear pad be correct but the fit not quite right, washing the ear pad in water is effective.

* The L (left) bush has a left and right identification protuberance, so that it is possible to distinguish between left and right in the dark by feel. 
* Adagio utilizes highly airtight ear pieces. When putting the earphones into the audio canal and when removing them, please do so gently. Failure to do so may result in strain on the wearer, 
such as to the eardrum.
* It is usual that a person's ears differ from left to right in terms of shape. As such, the optimum positioning of the product differs from left to right.

A BAM mechanism that delivers bass tones and deep, three-dimensional spatial reproduction
A BAM (Balancing Air Movement) mechanism developed for balanced armature drivers has been employed with a dynamic driver. By optimizing airflow in the housing, we have achieved the kind of natural bass tone reproduction and deep, three-dimensional spatial reproduction you wouldn't believe of a small aperture.

※ What is a BAM mechanism?
At final, we decided to focus on developing technology for the reproduction of bass tones and three-dimensional space with the full-range reproduction of a theoretically unproblematic single driver unit, rather than taking things in a multiway direction.We went back to the beginning and reviewed the performance of the balanced armature driver, focusing our attention on something we had previously overlooked ? airflow inside the housing. We developed BAM (Balancing Air Movement), a mechanism that optimizes airflow inside the housing through the creation of an aperture in the driver unit, which is usually sealed. While achieving bass tones and deep, three-dimensional spatial representation, which proved difficult with single driver full-range reproduction, we achieved a BA type that at the same time made for natural listening the user doesn't tire of.

We've carried out the sound design of this product based on the latest acoustic engineering and psychological research results. Using the usual method of sound creation whereby high frequencies are given a sharp peak and certain high frequencies are emphasized, you're given to feel vivid sound when you first listen, 
but because of this peak, the anteroposterior ranges are masked and hard to hear. 
With the E series, making the arc of the frequency response smooth overall ensured that 
no bands were masked, and we achieved high resolution.
Unique swing-fitting earpiece mechanism
With their swing fit mechanism, the earpieces can be swung left and right and tilted towards the audio canal for a perfect fit. These prevent changes in shape owing to the aperture of the earpiece coming into contact with the audio canal. The sound is transmitted directly to the eardrum, delivering clear sound.

The precision involved in assembling the parts for the driver unit is of the utmost importance.
The small-aperture 6.4mm diameter dynamic driver unit boasts an extraordinarily high level of

With similar existing products, it was assumed that they would be fitted to ears of differing sizes; not only were they large in size, their appearance was rather too distinct, and it took a lot to get accustomed to fitting them. Having considered what the key to fitting the ear hooks was, we discovered a form that was smaller than existing ear hooks, that didn't utilize metal or resin wires and fit the ears of more people. 
We've achieved something that is slim and does not have a foreign feel to it, making for the kind of
comfort that has you forgetting you're wearing them. 
Cable noise – the unpleasant noise that occurs when the cable touches the user's body when they are 
walking – is dramatically reduced.

Aging
Aging refers to the phenomenon whereby sound changes with sustained use over a set period of time.
With the driver unit, the extremely thin film that is heated and shaped vibrates to create sound. The reason for this is not clear, but the stress from the adhesive and the stress applied when shaping the film settles down as it is used, and it is thought that perhaps micro-signals move more freely.

With this product, because of the small apertures, an extended length of time is necessary for changes according to aging become hard to identify. Generally, 150 ~ 200 hours of regular use increases delicacy and sound quality follows the intent of the original design.

* Since the reason for sound quality improving through aging has not been clearly established, nothing could be clearly stated about aging until now. We have been checking this phenomenon, and have decided to express our opinions so as to collect as many questions regarding aging from customers as possible.

How to wear the earphones
Please refer to the earpiece swing fit mechanism while fitting the product; align the product at an angle where it fits smoothly into the ear. Please check the L (left) and R (right) indicators at the back of the left and right housings. Holding the product, fit into the ears using a slight twisting motion. Since sound quality differs greatly according to the positioning of the ear piece, move each ear phone around while playing music until you find the position with the balance that suits you best. Once you have experienced this position, it will be easier to find subsequently.

We've carried out the sound design of this product based on the latest acoustic engineering and psychological research results. Using the usual method of sound creation whereby high frequencies are given a sharp peak and certain high frequencies are emphasized, you're given to feel vivid sound when you first listen, 
but because of this peak, the anteroposterior ranges are masked and hard to hear. 
With the E series, making the arc of the frequency response smooth overall ensured that 
no bands were masked, and we achieved high resolution.
Unique swing-fitting earpiece mechanism
With their swing fit mechanism, the earpieces can be swung left and right and tilted towards the audio canal for a perfect fit. These prevent changes in shape owing to the aperture of the earpiece coming into contact with the audio canal. The sound is transmitted directly to the eardrum, delivering clear sound.
6.4mmφ dynamic driver unit
The precision involved in assembling the parts for the driver unit is of the utmost importance.
The small-aperture 6.4mm diameter dynamic driver unit boasts an extraordinarily high level of precision 
for this price range.
Highly rigid machined stainless steel housing
Machined from stainless steel and with a mirror finish, the housing firmly supports the driver unit and suppresses unnecessary vibrations; it is an important element with respect to sound quality.

Ear hooks that alleviate cable touch noise
With similar existing products, it was assumed that they would be fitted to ears of differing sizes; not only were they large in size, their appearance was rather too distinct, and it took a lot to get accustomed to fitting them. Having considered what the key to fitting the ear hooks was, we discovered a form that was smaller than existing ear hooks, that didn't utilize metal or resin wires and fit the ears of more people. 
We've achieved something that is slim and does not have a foreign feel to it, making for the kind of comfort that has you forgetting you're wearing them. 
Cable noise – the unpleasant noise that occurs when the cable touches the user's body when they are walking – is dramatically reduced.

The reason for this is not clear, but the stress from the adhesive and the stress applied when shaping the film settles down as it is used, and it is thought that perhaps micro-signals move more freely.

With this product, because of the small apertures, an extended length of time is necessary for changes according to aging become hard to identify. Generally, 150 ~ 200 hours of regular use increases delicacy and sound quality follows the intent of the original design.

* Since the reason for sound quality improving through aging has not been clearly established, nothing could be clearly stated about aging until now. We have been checking this phenomenon, and have decided to express our opinions so as to collect as many questions regarding aging from customers as possible.

The user will experience surprising flexibility that both makes the cable extremely easy to use as well as reducing the likelihood of microphonics. In addition, the MMCX plug and the 3.5 mm mini-plug have a tendency to disconnect so we've far exceeded the regular QA pass criteria of a 5,000-time bend test by changing the connection design to one that can withstand more than 50,000 bends.

One of the bushes is gray, while the other is red; by pulling the earpiece back slightly to check the color of the bush, it is easy to distinguish between left and right, even in places with subdued lighting. Since the bush colors of neighboring sizes are different (the gray bushes alternate between dark and light gray; the red bushes alternate between red and pink), it is also easy to distinguish between sizes.

Ear hooks that alleviate cable touch noise
With similar existing products, it was assumed that they would be fitted to ears of differing sizes; not only were they large in size, their appearance was rather too distinct, and it took a lot to get accustomed to fitting them. Having considered what the key to fitting the ear hooks was, we discovered a form that was smaller than existing ear hooks, that didn’t utilize metal or resin wires and fit the ears of more people. We’ve achieved something that is slim and does not have a foreign feel to it, making for the kind of comfort that has you forgetting you’re wearing them. There’s also no problem with combining it with a figure 8 cable.
Cable noise – the unpleasant noise that occurs when the cable touches the user’s body when they are walking – is dramatically reduced.
Silicon carry case
With this silicon carry case, the cables can be rolled up and stored easily. The earphones themselves are gently secured using thin dome-shaped silicon covers.
Aging
Aging refers to the phenomenon whereby sound changes with sustained use over a set period of time. With the driver unit, the extremely thin film that is heated and shaped vibrates to create sound. The reason for this is not clear, but the stress from the adhesive and the stress applied when shaping the film settles down as it is used, and it is thought that perhaps micro-signals move more freely.

With this product, because of the small apertures, an extended length of time is necessary for changes according to aging become hard to identify. Generally, 150 ~ 200 hours of regular use increases delicacy and sound quality follows the intent of the original design.

How to wear the earphones
Please refer to the earpiece swing fit mechanism while fitting the product; align the product at an angle where it fits smoothly into the ear. Please check the L (left) and R (right) indicators at the back of the left and right housings. Holding the product, fit into the ears using a slight twisting motion. Since sound quality differs greatly according to the positioning of the ear piece, move each ear phone around while playing music until you find the position with the balance that suits you best. Once you have experienced this position, it will be easier to find subsequently.
* The L (left) bush has a left and right identification protuberance, so that it is possible to distinguish between left and right in the dark by feel. 
* It is usual that a person's ears differ in shape from left to right. As such, the optimum positioning of the product differs from left to right.
